RKSV Foundation works in partnership with the Ramakrishna Mission & Ramakrishna Math based in Sri Lanka, India and its centres throughout the world. In Australia, the Vedanta Centre of Sydney oversees our operations and activities to ensure proper and efficient distribution of resources while maximizing benefits for achieving our intended goals and services.

The Ramakrishna Math & Mission has a long history of history of continuous enrichment of humanity by the order of monks since May 1897  in India, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Bangladesh and other regions.

The Mission has 205 centres all over the world (excluding sub-centres) : 156 in India, 15 in Bangladesh, 14 in USA, 2 in Russia, and one each in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Nepal, Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, UK and Zambia.

The distinguishing features of the Mission’s teachings are its sources of inspiration and commitment to an ideal, an organizational network and experience of providing teachings continually for over a century. Its sources of inspiration are Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda and the ideal that it is committed to is ‘Atmano mokshartham jagat hitaya cha’(for the freedom of the individual and the wellbeing of the world). Its organizational network through branch centres, monks and volunteers contributes to enrichment of the Culture, and Education.
